Bespoke

Many of our clients over the years have approached us to make bespoke items for their homes. This can be for a variety of reasons - a special gift, matching existing decor, unusual dimensions - that’s the beauty of buying bespoke. Get in touch by filling out the form at the bottom of this page if you’d like to discuss a bespoke commission.

Heres how it works…

  • Get in touch using the form below with your requirements. Some clients know precisely what they want, others need more guidance - both are absolutely fine. Of course the more guidance you can supply the quicker the design phase will likely be. Things to consider - required dimensions, preferred materials, joinery choices, etc.

  • After an initial discussion about the requirement, clarification of details (if required) and appropriate budget set, a design fee is requested. This sum will be deducted from the total cost of the commission, but is non-refundable if the client chooses not to proceed with ordering the piece. One or more design concepts will be presented to the client with photorealistic CAD renders.

  • Feedback on the initial design will be incorporated into a final design presentation. Tweaks can be made at this stage, but significant alterations or changing in brief may result in further design charges. Final sign-off is made with renders and technical drawings with key dimensions & details marked.

  • Drawings are signed off by the client and first deposit is made. Timber will then be sourced and the crafting process begins. Clients will have been informed of approximate lead time at this stage.

  • Once the furniture item is complete, delivery will be made at a mutually convenient time. This will often be by the craftsman themselves in order to answer any questions about the making process and care for your furniture going forward.
