Woodworking Course - Oak Table
This September I will be starting teaching at Blackhorse Workshop, with a range of woodworking classes from beginner upwards. I’ll be posting the ones I will be teaching here on my website, but head to www.blackhorseworkshop.co.uk for the full range of courses that they offer.
Starting on September 27 and running for 8 weeks on a Wednesday evening, I’ll be teaching the oak table shown in the image. Showcasing traditional mortise and tenon joints, the course will allow participants to improve their hand skills as well as gaining experience on several workshop machines and handheld power tools.
London Design Fair
Knot Design will be exhibiting for the first time this year at the London Design Fair. We’re delighted to have been included in British Craft Pavilion alongside some fantastic makers from around the UK. We’ll be exhibiting some of the newer items from our range with possibly a couple of bespoke pieces to show as well.
New Designers
I’m really excited to have been asked to speak on a panel about Sustainability in Craft.
Hosted by Crafts Council, the panel is made up of makers from different craft disciplines will discuss the motivations, barriers and changes that could be made around sustainability. The conversation will also draw in moments to reflect on cost of living, mental health and well-being, and material innovations. There will be an opportunity to meet and network with Crafts Council and the makers after the talk as part of New Designers Thursday Late session.
Future Icons Selects
This London Craft Week, 11th - 14th May 2023, Future Icons will be exclusively taking over Oxo Tower Wharf’s iconic Bargehouse with its largest exhibition to date and debut of its new show concept, Future Icons Selects, presenting the works of over 70 leading artisans from all over the world.

Invest in handcrafted luxury furniture with the Bradstow coffee table. Shown here in locally sourced sweet chestnut, the coffee table suits a variety of interior styles, offering an elegantly simple yet unmistakable design.
The design is inspired by the weathered flint stone walling that is a common sight along the Kent coastline. The ancient technique produces a highly tactile surface, echoed in the scalloped surfaces of the Bradstow table, all painstakingly handcarved.
This handmade living room table offers generous proportions with an 80cm top, but as it is handmade to order, this can be customised to create the perfect piece of furniture for your home.
Available in a choice of native British timbers including, but not limited to oak, ash, elm and London plane.
