AVERY - Side Table

AVERY - Side Table is the rectangular edition of the collection, sized to sit neatly under the arm of a sofa or stand alone as a smaller focal piece. Handmade in solid English oak, it carries the same signature rope-like leg detail as the rest of the Avery range, with the legs curving and overlapping where they meet at the base.

The smallest member of the Avery family, but it carries all the same details as its larger siblings. I scaled it specifically to work alongside a sofa - low enough to reach over comfortably, narrow enough to tuck against an arm without crowding the room.

The overlapping leg detail is what ties it back to the round and long versions, and it's just as considered here at this smaller size - if anything, it's a fiddlier joint to get right in a more compact frame, and a more acute angle, but I wasn't willing to simplify it just because the piece is smaller.

It's a nice piece for a spot that needs somewhere for a mug and a magazine within easy reach, without a table that dominates the space. And like the rest of the range, if you've already got a round or long Avery elsewhere in the house, this one's built to sit alongside them and perfectly matching.
