British timbers offer fantastic variety - something for every decor, from pale to dark tones, smooth to open grain. These can be further enhanced with the right finish.
At Knot, we only use native timbers in our furniture making. Whilst there are some amazing timbers available around the world, all of them come with ethical provenance or carbon footprint that I’m simply not comfortable with. We already import 97% of our timber requirements in the UK, so I feel a strong duty to use the timbers that we have locally. But when you look at the incredible selection we have on our doorstep, this is no hardship at all.
